JOB SUMMARY
Mechanical Design to Controls Design (XRWD GM) (No Product Designer / Engineers) As part of the the Mechanical Design Team, you need to have a clear understanding of Automatic, and Semi-Automatic Stations and Machines. Assist the Manufacturing and Commissioning teams in the implementation of the technical solutions to achieve Part Print and Process requirements. Review and understand our customer requirements and specifications. Manage the overall completion of important and complex engineering tasks and projects. Initiate, direct, manage and control major and minor engineering projects within a specified area of responsibility. Prepare general specifications Support, coordinate and execute all quality initiatives Meet all customer requirements, specifications and requests Suggest and support all continuous improvement efforts In Order to Qualify You Must Have: Knowledge of Siemens UG / NX skills - navigation and observation Light or heavy automotive body in white (BIW) engineering experience Strong organizational and planning skills Close attention to minor details Ability to follow structured processes and procedures Strong written and face-to-face communication skills in large and small teams The main focus of the MD Controls Engineer will be: Operator timing Operator ergonomics Machine timing Working with the team to get the job completed on time and accurate. Some travel domestically and internationally as necessary for project issue resolution and field checks. • 4+ years Mechanical Design and Engineering experience in Powertrain or Associates Degree in Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience • Ability to work independently and within teams • Ability to travel domestically (0-20%) and internationally as project needs, may be require for technical support
