JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking to fill the position for Network Administrator. This person should be a self-starter and be able to contribute to the team within days after their start date. This ideal person for this position should possess the following attributes: Current skill set to support the Network Competencies required for the position. Dated experience doesn’t meet this requirement, i.e. I did this a couple years ago. Ability to climb ladders and lift heavy objects. Ability to do tasks such as replace UPS batteries or troubleshoot related components such as IP Cameras. Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently. Planning such as keeping an inventory of network cables, phones, etc. Proactive behavior. Network Competencies required: Must have experience with the following: o Cisco 28xx/38xx series routers o Cisco 3750 edge switches o Cisco 3850 edge switches o Wide Area Network o Cross-connected local campuses (ATT Switched Ethernet) o MPLS connected foreign campuses (BT MPLS) o Direct connection circuits to customer facilities (ATT Switched Ethernet, ANX) o Cisco WLC and LWAP o Diagnose/Deploy/Decommission switches and routers as needed We are looking for experienced candidates who will: Provide employees with customer service excellence while resolving technical issues. Be on-call for evening and weekends in case of emergency or project related tasks Network Duties required : Network monitoring and response to any outage or service issue WAN monitoring and response to any outage or service issue Phone MAC Network MAC Coordinate VPN connectivity to remote site trailers Manage IP addresses for all locations Planning activities as dictated by corporate headquarters Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework. Design, test, and inspect data communications systems. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. Install hardware such as cables, switches, routers, and wireless adapters. Troubleshoot wireless networking issues, client side as well as the appliance side. Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects. Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors. Determine production direction. Write functional requirements/specifications documents. Assess vendor development/test strategies. Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems. Upgrade network hardware and software components as required. Solve complex problems with many variables. This is INTENDED to be a temp to hire position. No sponsorship available.
