JOB SUMMARY
SUMMARY: The Materials Manager is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to OEM and internal production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, receiving, and shipment schedules, maintaining proper inventory levels, customer claim processing, inventory bank builds, and the review of production reporting and system inventory accuracy. Engineering change management team member. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. • Schedule revisions due to design changes, material shortages, backlogs, and or labor shortages • Manage customer service specialists and release analysts • Distribution of production schedules to departments including scheduling through Mattec • Contact of suppliers when necessary for expedites, or schedule decreases and/or under and over shipments • Addition of new internal part numbers and system BOM's • Maintain trading partner • Communication with supervision and management • Physical inventory and inventory cycle counting as necessary • Troubleshooting of open issues that affect plant operations • Internal and external warehouse material management • Setting inventory reduction goals. Eliminate, reduce obsolescence • Maintain capacity database in FCA system • Maintain 100% on time delivery with all customers • Maintain compliance of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 Follows all safety, housekeeping and company policies and procedures. Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Material Management or related experience preferred. Minimum of five years' experience in automotive based materials management. APICS Certification preferred. Knowledge of AS400 based software understanding for OEM automotive under the following areas: • Logistics, Purchasing, BOM's Inventory, Order Entry, Electronic Release • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PP)
