JOB SUMMARY
PRODUCTION SCHEDULER Contractor will be on site for training. Once they are able to work unsupervised, it will be a hybrid position. Must have Machining background SUMMARY: Utilizes the system to input the project plan in association of the project timing. Schedules material delivery in a sequence that streamlines machining, assembly, and integration activities. Identifies and resolves planning conflicts associated with project timing versus manufacturing lead-times and resolves capacity versus scheduling conflicts. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY ARE: • Supports the development and review of the project schedule • Drive the Project Sourcing Plan within the functions in order to achieve project results relative to timing and execution. Resolves scheduling system conflicts and discrepancies by identifying, researching and correcting and/or notifying responsible parties through monitoring scheduling reports, any discrepancies on production orders due to: changes on the B.O.M., delinquent information on manufactured items, cancellation requirements, delinquent orders, or ERP schedule. • Reviews project timing for possible conflicts in achieving a realistic project timeline • Reviews documents, such as production schedules and specifications to obtain information, such as materials and priorities • Communicate potential timing risk to CIO Leader/Project Management, review project timing for possible conflicts in achieving a realistic project timeline • Attend Project Management kickoff meetings and review project timing for possible conflicts in achieving a realistic project timeline. • Hand over RFQ to Manufacturing department & Purchasing department, splitting machining parts organized by types, splitting commercial parts organized by vendor. • Responsible for P.R. creation • Responsible for all revision control at a platform project level KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: • Experience utilizing an MRP/ERP system • Understanding of manufacturing integration processes • ERP SAP/GPS system knowledge • Principles of Planning and Logistics • Knowledge of Supply Chain / Purchasing techniques and tools • Identifying measures or indicators for system performance monitoring • Ability to plan and coordinate workflow and outputs efficiently across multiple functional groups • Capacity management • Operations strategy • Daily Production Scheduling • Shipping Planning and Scheduling • Receiving process • Long term Demand & Production planning • Knowledge of Manufacturing Operations and integration processes • Production Orders management • Inventory Planning and Control • Master Production Scheduling • Execution, planning, scheduling control • Material Planning • Production Planning and Scheduling • Material Requirement Planning • Scheduling techniques • Warehouse Management • Transportation Management • General-purpose IT tools • PLM GPS System • General knowledge of World Class Manufacturing • EHS • Project planning and monitoring • Project Scheduling tools BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: • Self-Motivated • Organized • Clear communication skills • Promotes cross-functional teamwork QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Degree in technical or business discipline is a plus Previous Experience: Minimum of 3 years working experience in an Automation environment Languages: English preferred
